Radicondoli
Authentic Tuscany
Radicondoli dominates the Alta Val d’Elsa, nestled between the Metallifere hills and the Val di Cecina that extends to the Maremma coast. The medieval village of Radicondoli, whose history is documented since the 12th century, was an ancient castle of the Aldobrandeschi family, and then became a possession of the Republic of Siena. In the summer, Radicondoli becomes the theater of Le Notti di Giove, the street art festival that stages contemporary art exhibitions, light installations, dance performances and international artists and live music concerts. A “pagan ritual that is celebrated weekly in the summer: the young dance until dawn sipping elixir of life around the musicians of Jupiter, priests very revered throughout the valley” (The indispensable guide for dream explorers, AMMOS).
